Process
My solution-driven plant and garden beautification process starts with a one-hour, on-site consultation. I meet with you at your home or business, you give me a tour of your space, and we discuss what you’re looking to accomplish. You’ll have the opportunity to ask me as many questions as you’d like, and I’ll have a few of my own. I’ll also take some photos to reference during the course of the project. Soon after my visit, I’ll send you a detailed summary, complete with my observations, links to resources (if applicable), step-by-step action plan, proposed timeframe, and cost. I promise it’ll be a fun experience!
Tips and Inspiration
Choose plants with a variety of bloom times so that something is always in flower.
If you’ve had success growing a certain plant, get more of it and in every variety available.
If gardening in containers, group pots by color or texture to create a nice cohesion.
Select plants for virtues besides their flowers (ex. foliage, fragrance, edible, pest resistance, etc.).
Grow fragrant plants near an entryway or an area where you can most enjoy them.
Grow edibles! Try herbs if you wanna start small, then graduate to citrus, peppers and greens.
Place pots on rollers for ease of mobility and drainage, especially the heavier ones.
Grow up! Gardening on trellises, arbors and handrails creates beautiful vertical focal points.
Set potted plants among bedding plants, concealing the pot if possible. It’s an easy way to experiment with design.
Swap/share cuttings, starts, seeds and your harvest with neighbors. Big smiles guaranteed!
