Posen
We enhanced this front slope of a landscape in Berkeley by installing a new path of stone steps for access from the driveway, anchoring the left corner of the lot with a large boulder, and adding moss boulders where property line meets sidewalk. As a final touch, we removed several spent plants, replacing them with a selection of water-wise plants including sticky monkeyflower, ‘Meerlo’ lavender, Lomandra ‘Platinum Beauty,’ Pennisetum orientale ‘Karley Rose,’ Geranium ‘Rozanne’ and Leucadendron ‘Ebony.’ This achieved the homeowners’ vision for a more densely planted, meadow-like space yet with a stronger sense of serenity.
