This townhome courtyard is a fine example of how limited space can make a big statement. Just beyond the gate and off a short flight of steps, a small planting bed is tightly planted with Fatsia japonica, Podocarpus ‘Roman Candle,’ Plectranthus, Alstroemeria ‘Indian Summer,’ Eriogonum grande rubescens, Hydrangea, Lomandra ‘Platinum Beauty,’ and Grevillea ‘Bonnie Prince Charlie.’ Down the steps and near the doorway, a collection of planters in muted hues with rustic finishes features ‘Meerlo’ lavender, Grevillea ‘Deua Flame,’ striped yucca, showy agaves, ripple jade, red African milk bush, Euphorbia ammak, and Leucadendron ‘Ebony.’ Oh, and let’s not forget the new dwarf Meyer lemon in the corner!
